BIMI lets supporting inbox providers display your brand logo beside authenticated email. Suped prepares and hosts the required files, publishes the BIMI record, and gives you one CNAME record to add to your DNS.
BIMI is a display signal built on email authentication. It does not replace SPF, DKIM, or DMARC, and each inbox provider decides whether to show a logo for an individual message. See the BIMI product page for an overview of the feature.
Before you start
Your domain must meet these requirements before setup can begin:
- The domain has a valid DMARC record with a policy of
p=quarantineorp=reject. - The DMARC percentage is
pct=100, or thepcttag is omitted. - You have an SVG logo for Unverified BIMI, or an existing Verified BIMI file for Verified BIMI.
Inbox providers can also apply their own authentication, alignment, sending-volume, and reputation requirements before displaying a BIMI logo.
Choose your BIMI level

You can start with Unverified BIMI and move to Verified BIMI later.
Set up BIMI
- Go to Settings > Domains.
- Find the BIMI column for your domain and select Enable.
- Leave Use Verified BIMI off to upload an SVG logo, or turn it on to upload your Verified BIMI file.
- Review the logo at several inbox sizes. For an SVG upload, use Crop to adjust how the mark is framed.
- Select Continue. Suped validates the file and prepares your BIMI record.
- Add the generated CNAME record at your DNS provider. The host is
default._bimi.yourdomain.com; copy the exact target shown in Suped. - Return to Suped and select Verify DNS.
What Suped manages
- Validates and optimizes an uploaded SVG for the BIMI SVG Tiny P/S format.
- Hosts the optimized logo at a public HTTPS URL.
- Hosts the Verified BIMI file when Verified BIMI is selected.
- Publishes the BIMI TXT record behind the generated CNAME target.
- Checks the public CNAME before marking setup as complete.
Suped can also detect an existing default BIMI record and prefill its logo or Verified BIMI file when you open setup.
Manage an existing setup
Return to Settings > Domains and open the BIMI status for the domain. A completed Unverified BIMI setup shows the inboxes where the logo is currently eligible and the additional coverage available with Verified BIMI.
To move from Unverified BIMI to Verified BIMI, select Upgrade to Verified BIMI to contact Suped about the verification process. Once you have your Verified BIMI file, reopen setup and upload it. DNS may be cached, so changes can take time to become visible to inbox providers after Suped verifies the record.
Troubleshooting
BIMI says the DMARC policy is not ready
Confirm that the organizational domain resolves to a valid DMARC record with p=quarantine or p=reject. A monitoring-only p=none policy is not eligible for BIMI setup.
BIMI says the DMARC percentage must be 100%
Remove the pct tag or set it to pct=100. Lower percentages do not meet BIMI enforcement requirements.
Suped cannot find the CNAME
Check that the host is default._bimi.yourdomain.com and that it has one CNAME pointing to the exact generated Suped target. DNS propagation and resolver caches can delay verification after a change.
The logo is configured but does not appear
A valid record makes the logo eligible; it does not force every inbox to display it. Confirm that the message passes aligned authentication and review the receiving provider's BIMI, reputation, and interface requirements.
