The blacklist works like a standard DNSBL. When a mail server receives an email, it queries the Polspam zone using the sender's IP address in reverse-octet form. A listed result tells the receiving mail server that Polspam has seen spam activity connected to that IP address or a domain hosted there.
How do I check a Polspam Level 1 listing?
To check an IPv4 address, reverse the octets and append bl-h1.rbl.polspam.pl. For example, 192.0.2.10 becomes 10.2.0.192.bl-h1.rbl.polspam.pl. A response of 127.0.2.1 means the IP address is listed on Polspam Level 1. No DNS answer means the IP address is not listed in that zone.

Check the exact zone before acting. A result on bl.rbl.polspam.pl is not the same as a result on bl-h1.rbl.polspam.pl, and Polspam domain-based zones use separate RHSBL names.
