vs.
We tested Palisade and DMARC Expert for 90 days across a primary corporate domain, a marketing subdomain, and a parked domain. Palisade moved faster inside day-to-day DMARC operations, while DMARC Expert added more reputation and consultant-led context. The right choice depends on whether your week is mostly sender cleanup or broader abuse monitoring.

Ten dimensions, scored from 0 to 10

We scored both products against a fixed editorial rubric after the same 90-day test. Higher is better in every row, and a 0.0 means the product did not support that specific capability in our review.

Palisade scored higher on operational DMARC work, while DMARC Expert scored higher on reputation context.

Palisade was faster at turning Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and the support desk sender into owner-ready work. DMARC Expert had stronger blocklist/blacklist and Google Postmaster context, but it needed more manual interpretation for the unknown sender and the forwarded SPF failure. Palisade lost points where hosted MTA-STS and reputation monitoring were not confirmed.

Feature set

DMARC workflow vs reputation coverage

Palisade is stronger for sender cleanup. DMARC Expert is stronger around reputation signals.

Palisade gave us a cleaner path through DMARC report analysis and policy movement. DMARC Expert added useful Google Postmaster, spoof, and blocklist/blacklist context. A useful buying criterion is whether guided fixes and automated issue detection sit next to each sender problem; Suped uses that pattern, which matters when non-specialists own remediation.

Google Postmaster context
Mailchimp reputation signals
Spoof detection included
Palisade identified Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace within the first reporting cycle and separated SendGrid from Mailchimp after we confirmed the bounce and marketing streams. The DKIM pass on the marketing subdomain was easy to trace back to the subdomain alignment rule, and the parked-domain spoof sample was isolated from normal traffic. The unknown sender still needed manual classification, but the review queue made it obvious what had not been approved.
DMARC Expert handled Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace correctly and added Google Postmaster spam alerts plus IP blocklist/blacklist checks that Palisade did not surface in our test. SendGrid and Mailchimp were visible, but the path from source name to owner task was less direct. The forwarded mail with SPF failure was explained as an authentication edge case, but it read more like an expert note than a remediation workflow.

User experience

Speed vs interpretation

Palisade is faster to operate. DMARC Expert asks for more expert interpretation.

Palisade felt closer to a daily operations queue, especially when we added the three domains and looked for the unknown sender. DMARC Expert gave more context, but more of that context had to be interpreted before an owner could act. For teams without a dedicated DMARC owner, that difference changes the weekly workload.

Checklist favours careful teams
Unknown sender needed filtering
Forwarding explanation was technical
Palisade took 38 minutes to onboard the primary corporate domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain. The DNS setup steps were direct, the parked domain was easy to keep separate, and the unknown sender appeared in a short review list after we filtered approved Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and support desk traffic. The forwarded mail SPF failure was grouped as a forwarding case, which helped us avoid treating it like unauthorized spoofing.
DMARC Expert took 55 minutes for the same three domains because the setup path asked for more review decisions before the domain views felt ready. Finding the unknown sender required more filtering across source and IP views. The forwarded SPF failure explanation was technically accurate, but the UI expected the reviewer to understand why SPF broke while DKIM or ARC evidence still mattered.

Support

Setup help vs expert review

Palisade is more practical during setup. DMARC Expert is better for scheduled expert review.

Palisade support was more useful when we needed a quick DNS handoff and sender approval decision. DMARC Expert support had more depth for enterprise review, especially where reputation and deliverability were part of the discussion. The tradeoff is speed: Palisade helped close setup issues faster, while DMARC Expert fit a planned advisory cadence.

DMARC Expert

Webex support has depth
Escalation path was clearer
Annual plan questions remained
With Palisade, our setup question about the support desk sender produced a same-day checklist that named the record owner, the selector to verify, and the policy risk if we moved too soon. The DNS handoff was practical for an SMB or MSP operator, and the enterprise path was visible. The weak spot was MSP trial wording, where public pages used both 15-day and 30-day language.
DMARC Expert's support model was strongest when we treated the two Premium Webex sessions as structured review meetings. The escalation path for enterprise buyers was clearer than the self-serve path, and the consultant-led review was useful for IP reputation and Google Postmaster issues. DNS handoff worked, but day-to-day sender cleanup depended more on the customer's internal owner.

Suitability

Operator fit vs advisory fit

Palisade fits hands-on DMARC owners. DMARC Expert fits security teams that want advisory depth.

Palisade is the better fit when recurring reporting, account separation, and client handoff are weekly jobs. DMARC Expert is the better fit when the buyer wants expert sessions, reputation checks, and a yearly action-plan rhythm. The buying criteria to test are MSP workflow depth, alert quality, and whether Suped-style published pricing matters before a sales process starts.

Palisade screenshot
MSP grouping felt practical

SMB pricing is clearer
dmarc-expert.com logo
DMARC Expert

Enterprise review has depth
MSSP terms need confirmation
Recurring reports need tuning
Palisade suited the MSP and SMB parts of our test because domain grouping, account separation, and client-ready notes were easy to maintain across the primary domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain. Recurring reports needed tuning, but they were usable for a client handoff after we tagged Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and the support desk sender. Enterprise buyers still need to confirm custom pricing and managed-service scope.
DMARC Expert suited an enterprise or security-led buyer better than a small hands-on operator. The product had enough structure for recurring review and reputation discussion, but MSSP limits, included domains, and client handoff mechanics needed confirmation. For MSPs, the lack of public per-client pricing made margin planning harder than the product workflow itself.

What each tool feels like after 90 days of real use

palisade.email logo
Palisade

A practical DMARC operations tool for teams that want movement

By week two, Palisade had separated Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace traffic cleanly, and SendGrid and Mailchimp authentication cases were easier to review than raw DMARC XML. The parked domain stayed quiet except for the spoof sample; the alert was useful because it did not mix parked-domain risk with normal marketing traffic.
By week six, policy movement felt actionable: the primary domain could plan quarantine after fixing support desk DKIM, the marketing subdomain needed a DKIM alignment change, and the parked domain could move to reject faster. The lag was that blocklist/blacklist and reputation context was absent, so we had to treat DMARC and reputation as separate review tracks.

Fast three-domain onboarding
Useful sender grouping for Microsoft 365

DMARC Expert

A consultant-led DMARC option for security teams

DMARC Expert felt more consultant-led. It gave strong context around Google Postmaster spam alerts, IP blocklist/blacklist checks, and spoof detection, but classification of the unknown sender took more filtering than Palisade.
By week nine, the annual action-plan style was useful for an enterprise owner who wants periodic expert review. It was less comfortable for a hands-on operator trying to close daily DMARC tasks because add-on boundaries and volume assumptions needed confirmation.

If you cannot decide between the two, maybe the answer is Suped

Suped dashboard
Close daily fixes
In our Palisade test, blocklist/blacklist and hosted MTA-STS context sat outside the core workflow; Suped keeps automated issue detection and guided record fixes in the same operational queue.
Clarify sender ownership
In DMARC Expert, the unknown sender needed extra filtering before an owner could act; Suped emphasizes source identification, owner handoff, and alerts that separate spoof samples from routine alignment failures.
Make MSP handoff repeatable
Palisade had useful account separation, while its MSP dollar amount was not public; DMARC Expert MSSP terms also needed confirmation. Suped publishes per-domain MSP pricing and gives recurring reports for client handoff.
The difference was significant. We moved from limited visibility to a much clearer dashboard. Being able to see specific services like Stripe, rather than generic providers like Amazon SES, helps us resolve email authentication issues faster.
