DMARCwise provides a robust set of features focused on complete DMARC management. We found its DMARC record hosting and validation particularly strong, allowing for easy setup and maintenance. The platform also offers comprehensive SMTP TLS reporting, which is essential for monitoring encrypted email traffic and ensuring data privacy.
Furthermore, DMARCwise offers unlimited reports volume on its paid plans, alongside extensive DMARC record history and diagnostic tools. We appreciate its domain check capabilities, which help identify potential issues swiftly and ensure proper domain configuration, contributing to better email deliverability.
SimpleDMARC offers a feature set that extends beyond basic DMARC reporting, incorporating advanced security functionalities. We noted its aggregate (RUA) and forensic (RUF) reporting as core strengths, providing detailed insights into email traffic and potential threats. Its simulation attack capabilities are a valuable addition for proactive security assessments.
The platform also includes team invitations for multi-user access, which is great for collaborative security management. We especially liked the look-alike domain alerts and the ability to visualize threats by map and geography, offering a more holistic view of potential phishing and spoofing activities targeting an organization's domain.

User experience

From our experience, DMARCwise offers a clear and functional user interface that prioritizes straightforward DMARC implementation and monitoring. Setting up domains and interpreting reports felt intuitive, especially for users familiar with DMARC principles. The dashboard provides a concise overview, making it easy to track DMARC compliance at a glance.
While not overly flashy, the design is practical, ensuring that all necessary information and configuration options are readily accessible. We found that the focus on core DMARC functionalities contributes to a streamlined user journey, minimizing complexity when navigating the platform.
SimpleDMARC presents a user interface that aims for simplicity, and for the most part, succeeds in being easy to understand. The dashboard effectively showcases reports and analytics, providing clear indicators of domain security status. This simplicity makes it accessible for quick checks and basic monitoring.
However, some users might find certain sections, such as DNS history, less refined than other parts of the platform. While the overall design is user-friendly, the inclusion of more advanced security features occasionally adds a layer of complexity that could be overwhelming for those new to email authentication protocols.
Which product has the best support

Support

DMARCwise offers tiered support based on the chosen plan. Free users receive 'best-effort support,' which is reasonable for a complimentary service. For all paid plans, customers benefit from dedicated email support and guidance, providing a more structured and responsive assistance channel.
We found the email support to be helpful in navigating setup and understanding more complex DMARC reports. This dedicated support ensures that organizations, particularly those on Growth and Scale plans, have reliable access to expertise when needed, aiding in effective DMARC policy enforcement.
While specific details on SimpleDMARC's support options are not extensively detailed in their public information, we assume standard email-based support channels are available. For a service focusing on email security, responsive support is critical, particularly for issues involving DMARC policy changes or attack simulations.
Based on the typical SaaS model for platforms of this nature, we expect adequate assistance for common inquiries and technical troubleshooting. However, without explicit mention of dedicated support tiers or advanced options, it's prudent for users with complex needs to confirm the level of support provided.

Suitability

First comparison imageSecond comparison image
DMARCwise is well-suited for a broad range of users, from small businesses (SMBs) leveraging its free and starter plans to larger enterprises with its Growth and Scale options. Its "Pay-as-you-go" plan specifically caters to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and agencies, offering the flexibility needed for managing multiple client domains.
The platform's comprehensive features, including multi-domain management and SSO on higher tiers, make it a viable solution for enterprises seeking robust DMARC enforcement. Its scalable pricing and feature set allow organizations to grow into the platform without needing to switch providers.
SimpleDMARC appears to be particularly well-suited for small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) and smaller teams, as indicated by its 'most popular plan for small teams' description. Its straightforward approach to DMARC reporting and security features aligns well with organizations that need effective protection without excessive complexity.
For larger enterprises or MSPs managing many client domains, SimpleDMARC's model of one 'active domain' per plan may present limitations. While it offers team invitations, the pricing structure might become less cost-effective for extensive multi-domain environments or for service providers requiring broad scalability across numerous clients.

Drawbacks and what to watch out for

DMARCwise currently has no public reviews, which makes it challenging to gauge broad user sentiment and specific pain points. SimpleDMARC, however, has some noted drawbacks. Its pricing model, focused on a single active domain, can be expensive for small businesses and limiting for organizations managing multiple domains. Additionally, while the UI is generally simple, some users found specific functionalities, such as DNS history, to be less polished, and the overall interface could be overwhelming for those new to email authentication.
We have pulled the average ratings from G2 for each product, and also included the most recent negative reviews for each product in full. Positive reviews tend to have less detail and have a higher chance of being fraudulent, so negative reviews are a better signal for your decision.
