DMARC Expert vs.
Docker DMARC Reports in 2026

DMARC Expert

Docker DMARC Reports
vs.
We ran DMARC Expert and Docker DMARC Reports for 90 days across a corporate domain, a marketing subdomain, and a parked domain, using five legitimate senders plus controlled failure and spoof cases. DMARC Expert gave us a more complete route toward enforcement, while Docker DMARC Reports gave us free, self-hosted aggregate reporting but left classification, alerting, and policy decisions with our team.

DMARC Expert leads on managed enforcement; Docker DMARC Reports leads on cost clarity and self-hosted control
DMARC Expert classified our major senders with less manual work, provided DNS change monitoring, and turned the spoof sample into a clearer enforcement task. Its score drops where public limits, integration details, and MTA-STS support remain unclear. Docker DMARC Reports reliably collected the same aggregate data, but we had to classify the unknown sender, explain forwarding, build alerts, and create the policy plan ourselves.

Guidance vs ownership
DMARC Expert covers more of the enforcement job; Docker DMARC Reports covers the reporting core
DMARC Expert won when a finding needed monitoring or a next action, while Docker DMARC Reports won when we wanted local data and no software charge. Buyers who want guided fixes and automatic issue detection should test whether the product names the exact sender, record, and owner action; Suped's product makes that workflow a specific evaluation point.
DMARC Expert

Microsoft 365 sources resolved
SendGrid and Mailchimp separated
Subdomain DKIM retained context
Docker DMARC Reports

Google Workspace reports parsed
Unknown sender required research
Forwarded SPF needed interpretation
DMARC Expert recognized Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace cleanly, and it kept SendGrid and Mailchimp distinct when both appeared under the marketing subdomain. The aligned DKIM pass on the subdomain was presented as legitimate even when the visible From domain differed from the signing domain. Our unknown support desk sender still needed an ownership check, but the platform gave us enough source context to classify it without reading raw XML, while the spoof sample triggered a clearer risk path.
Docker DMARC Reports ingested the same Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, and Mailchimp reports through IMAP and exposed their SPF and DKIM results in its viewer. It did not turn the unknown sender into a named service or a guided task, so we matched IP data and envelope domains ourselves. The forwarded message with SPF failure remained visible, but explaining why aligned DKIM preserved authentication required DMARC knowledge outside the product.
User experience
Guidance vs control
DMARC Expert shortened investigation; Docker DMARC Reports kept every setup decision with us
DMARC Expert required less interpretation after the records started flowing, although its paid structure and plan boundaries added procurement work. Docker DMARC Reports was direct once deployed, but deployment, access control, source naming, and explanations remained operator tasks.
DMARC Expert

Three domains grouped clearly
Unknown sender drilldown helped
Forwarding context reduced confusion
Docker DMARC Reports

Container setup stayed explicit
Unknown sender stayed unnamed
Forwarding explanation stayed manual
We added the corporate domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain through a conventional hosted onboarding flow, then verified reporting DNS. DMARC Expert grouped traffic by domain and made the parked-domain spoof sample easy to isolate. Finding the unknown sender took a short drilldown through source details, and the forwarded SPF failure was easier to explain because the DKIM result and alignment context appeared beside it.
With Docker DMARC Reports, onboarding meant preparing the container, database, IMAP mailbox, credentials, and web access before adding reporting DNS for all three domains. Once reports arrived, domain switching was simple, but the unknown sender had no assisted classification. The forwarded SPF failure appeared as expected in the parsed data, yet we had to document the aligned DKIM pass and forwarding explanation ourselves.
Support
Expert handoff vs self-service
DMARC Expert has a defined support path; Docker DMARC Reports expects an operator
DMARC Expert includes scheduled expert help in its paid plan and expands that model for enterprise buyers. Docker DMARC Reports has no managed vendor support tier, so the buyer owns setup, troubleshooting, and escalation.
DMARC Expert

Two Premium support sessions
DNS handoff had an owner
Enterprise escalation needs scoping
Docker DMARC Reports

Setup support stayed internal
DNS handoff was self-managed
No vendor escalation tier
During setup, DMARC Expert's documented support allowance gave us a clear place to take DNS questions and the unknown sender. Our handoff package contained the three domains, approved sender list, current records, and the spoof evidence, which let the support discussion focus on enforcement movement instead of rediscovery. Enterprise onboarding promises more continuous review, but the exact support-session count and escalation terms require a quote.
Docker DMARC Reports provided no paid onboarding or enterprise escalation path in the material we tested. We handled the container, database schema, IMAP permissions, reverse proxy, backups, and DNS handoff internally. When the report fetcher needed diagnosis, escalation meant assigning our own infrastructure owner and preserving logs, so support quality depended entirely on team capacity.
Suitability
Managed program vs operator stack
DMARC Expert fits managed enforcement programs; Docker DMARC Reports fits capable self-hosters
DMARC Expert is the clearer fit for an enterprise or MSP that needs policy support and a defined handoff, subject to confirming MSSP limits and pricing. Docker DMARC Reports fits an SMB with technical capacity and a narrow reporting need. MSP buyers should require durable client separation, recurring reports, and low-noise alert routing; Suped's product makes those workflow checks available alongside published starter pricing.
DMARC Expert

Enterprise guidance fits enforcement
MSSP dashboard separates access
Client limits need confirmation
Docker DMARC Reports

SMB operators keep control
Account isolation needs infrastructure
Client handoff needs process
For enterprise use, DMARC Expert kept the corporate domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain distinct while still supporting one enforcement plan. Its MSSP option adds a multi-user management dashboard, which is relevant for client separation, but public material does not specify client counts or recurring-report controls. We would require those details and a sample client handoff before choosing it for an MSP portfolio.
Docker DMARC Reports worked well as a focused SMB reporting stack when one technical owner controlled the mailbox, database, and viewer. Domain grouping existed at the report level, but account separation required infrastructure boundaries or custom access controls. For an MSP, recurring reporting and client handoff would need external automation and operating procedures, which erodes the benefit of the $0 software price.

What DMARC Expert felt like after 90 days of real use
DMARC Expert
By day 30, our legitimate Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and support desk traffic was separated well enough to discuss enforcement by domain. We spent most review time on exceptions and owner decisions instead of parsing aggregate rows.
By day 90, DNS alerts, hosted SPF, and the action-plan model made DMARC Expert feel like a managed program rather than a report viewer. The tradeoff was commercial uncertainty: public entry pricing was clear, but hard domain limits, message limits, MSSP scope, and add-on costs still needed confirmation.
Where it wins
Major senders resolved with context
Spoof sample became an action
DNS changes generated alerts
Hosted SPF reduced record upkeep
Where it lags
Volume caps remain unpublished
MSSP pricing needs a quote
MTA-STS hosting was absent
API availability remained unclear

What Docker DMARC Reports felt like after 90 days of real use
Docker DMARC Reports
By day 30, the hourly IMAP fetch and local viewer were dependable in our test deployment. We liked having the database and retention under our control, but every source label and exception explanation depended on our own runbook.
By day 90, Docker DMARC Reports still did its narrow job: collect, parse, store, and display aggregate data. The operational work accumulated around it, including backups, access control, upgrades, alert logic, recurring reports, and the policy path for each of the three domains.

Checked May 15, 2026. DMARC Expert's EUR 105 monthly annual-billing price and Enterprise price from EUR 5,500 yearly are public list prices; assigning Premium to Small and Medium and Enterprise to Large is an estimate because volume and domain caps are not public. Docker DMARC Reports has a public $0 software cost at every segment, while infrastructure and staff costs are excluded.

Get started

Turn unknown traffic into fixes
Resolve the unknown sender into a recognizable service and a guided owner action, avoiding Docker DMARC Reports' manual IP research and reducing dependence on scheduled expert sessions.
Route useful alerts
Detect authentication and DNS issues automatically, then route focused alerts instead of building an alert layer around Docker DMARC Reports or accepting unclear integration depth.
Price managed growth clearly
Use published free and business entry points with domain and email limits, avoiding DMARC Expert's unpublished volume caps while retaining managed workflows absent from the self-hosted option.
The difference was significant. We moved from limited visibility to a much clearer dashboard. Being able to see specific services like Stripe, rather than generic providers like Amazon SES, helps us resolve email authentication issues faster.
