Suped needs to receive your DMARC aggregate reports (rua) to monitor your email authentication. Your DMARC record lives at _dmarc.yourdomain.com as a TXT record.
If you don't have a DMARC record yet
You have two options:
- Use the DMARC record generator tool to create one from scratch.
- Set up hosted DMARC, which manages the record for you.
If you already have a DMARC record
Add Suped's reporting address to the rua tag in your existing DMARC record. Your Suped dashboard will show the exact address to use, but it follows this format:
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:your-alias@reports.suped.comIf you already have other rua destinations, separate them with a comma:
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:existing@example.com,mailto:your-alias@reports.suped.comUsing hosted DMARC
If you use hosted DMARC, Suped is automatically added as a reporting destination - no manual rua configuration needed.
Managing report recipients
You can add or remove email addresses that receive DMARC aggregate reports at any time:
- Go to Settings > Domains and click Configure DMARC on the domain you want to change.
- Open the Advanced options dropdown.
- Under Report recipients (rua), add or remove any email addresses you want to receive (or stop receiving) DMARC reports.
- Click Save and verify.
Suped's reporting address is always included automatically and cannot be removed, so your monitoring will continue to work regardless of any other changes you make.
When to expect data
DMARC aggregate reports are sent by ISPs (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, etc.) roughly once every 24 hours. After updating your DNS, reports typically start arriving within 24-48 hours.
