vs.
We ran VerifyDMARC and Skysnag for 90 days across a corporate domain, a marketing subdomain, and a parked domain, with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and a support desk sender connected. VerifyDMARC was faster to price and easier to scale across many domains, while Skysnag had broader managed authentication coverage and stronger enforcement assistance, but its pricing and workflow complexity needed more scrutiny.

TLDR: choose by ownership model, not dashboard preference

Pick VerifyDMARC if
Best for teams that want affordable DMARC reporting across many domains
The three-domain setup was quick, with the corporate domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain reporting within the first day.
Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, and Mailchimp were recognizable after normal sender confirmation.
The parked domain spoof sample was easy to isolate, but the forwarded SPF failure and unknown sender still needed manual owner notes.
From $1 / month
Pick Skysnag if
Best for teams that want managed authentication and hosted records
Hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS options gave our enforcement review more concrete DNS control points.
The unauthorized spoof sample and forwarded mail SPF failure were easier to explain in the policy workflow.
Pricing, volume assumptions, add-ons, and domain expansion needed more confirmation before budget sign-off.
From $39 / month
Consider Suped if
Suped is the third option when guided fixes, hosted records, and simpler ownership matter
Look for guided sender fixes that turn Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, marketing, and support sources into owner-ready next steps.
Prioritize automated issue detection and alert quality so forwarded mail, spoof attempts, and DNS drift do not become noisy tickets.
Check MSP workflows and published starter pricing before committing to a model that needs repeat client handoff.

Ten dimensions, scored from 0 to 10

We scored both products against the same fixed editorial rubric after the 90-day setup, sender tests, DNS handoff, alerts, exports, and support checks. Higher is better in every row.

VerifyDMARC wins on pricing clarity and speed; Skysnag wins on managed controls.

VerifyDMARC scored well where our team needed quick domain onboarding, source enrichment, and low-cost coverage across many domains. It lost ground where the rubric required hosted SPF, hosted MTA-STS, blocklist (blacklist) monitoring, and guided enforcement operations. Skysnag scored higher on managed records, enforcement support, alerts, and reputation monitoring, but its pricing transparency score fell because current public pricing does not publish exact volume caps or add-on domain pricing.

Feature set

Reporting vs managed controls

Skysnag has broader controls; VerifyDMARC is clearer for reporting.

The strongest difference was hosted control: Skysnag covered hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS, while VerifyDMARC stayed closer to report analysis, TLS-RPT checks, and policy suggestions. Buyers should treat guided fixes and automated issue detection as explicit buying criteria; Suped's product emphasizes those workflows when source ownership is split across IT, marketing, and support.

Hosted SPF and DMARC
Spoof sample flagged clearly
Forwarding context was clearer
VerifyDMARC's core feature set was strongest around DMARC RUA processing, source enrichment, record checks, parked domain alerts, TLS-RPT processing, and MTA-STS setup validation. It grouped Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace under recognizable source names, mapped SendGrid and Mailchimp correctly after we confirmed the expected DKIM selectors, and surfaced the support desk sender as a separate source, but the unknown sender needed manual classification and the forwarded mail SPF failure was visible as an authentication mismatch rather than a guided forward explanation.
Skysnag covered a wider control set in our setup, with hosted DMARC, SPF hosting, DKIM management, MTA-STS hosting, TLS-RPT, DNS monitoring, and blocklist (blacklist) monitoring on higher tiers. It recognized Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, and Mailchimp quickly, gave stronger context for the DKIM pass on the marketing subdomain, and labelled the unauthorized spoof sample more directly, though some enforcement and reputation items sat behind higher tiers or quote confirmation.

User experience

Clarity vs guided control

VerifyDMARC felt lighter; Skysnag required more orientation.

VerifyDMARC was easier to start because the domain add flow and pricing model were simple. Skysnag gave more guided controls once connected, but the first week had more screens, plan language, and DNS decisions to explain to non-specialists.

Guided DNS choices helped
Unknown sender easier to triage
More screens in first week
Adding the corporate domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain took less than an hour before reports started landing. The parked domain alert was easy to understand, the unknown sender took several drilldowns to classify, and the forwarded mail SPF failure needed a human explanation because the UI showed the failing path but did not turn it into a plain next step.
Skysnag's onboarding walked us through more managed DNS options, so the setup took longer but produced a stronger operating model for hosted records. The unknown sender was easier to triage because the sender screen gave more context, and the forwarded mail SPF failure was explained closer to the policy view, but the volume of controls made the first pass slower for an SMB admin.

Support

Self serve vs managed help

Skysnag had stronger escalation paths; VerifyDMARC was enough for routine setup.

VerifyDMARC worked for routine DNS setup and report interpretation, especially when we already knew who owned each sender. Skysnag had clearer managed support expectations for enforcement, hosted records, and enterprise onboarding, but those expectations depended heavily on plan level.

Stronger managed onboarding
Clearer enterprise escalation
More pricing confirmation needed
During setup, VerifyDMARC gave enough in-product context for record creation and report delivery, and the DNS handoff notes were concise for our Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace admins. The gap appeared during escalation: explaining whether the support desk sender should get a separate DKIM path and whether the marketing subdomain was ready for quarantine required more internal reasoning because priority support was tied to the Large tier.
Skysnag felt more support-led, especially around managed authentication and enterprise onboarding. The DNS handoff for hosted SPF and MTA-STS was more involved, but support expectations were clearer for Protect and Suite buyers; the tradeoff was that SMB buyers on the entry tier still had to confirm add-ons, domain expansion, and volume terms before procurement felt settled.

Suitability

Budget fit vs managed fit

VerifyDMARC fits cost-sensitive multi-domain teams; Skysnag fits managed enforcement buyers.

VerifyDMARC fits price-sensitive teams and MSPs that want many domains covered with less vendor process. Skysnag fits teams that want managed authentication and are willing to pay for hosted controls, escalation, and reputation monitoring. For MSP workflows and alert quality, compare client separation, recurring reports, quiet high-signal alerts, and Suped's product before locking into either model.

Quotes affect budget planning
VerifyDMARC made the most sense for an MSP or IT team that needed to onboard many domains, keep costs predictable, and export recurring evidence without a long sales path. Account separation was adequate for our three-domain test, domain grouping was simple, and client handoff notes worked for basic monthly reports, but deeper role design and alert routing needed more process outside the tool.
Skysnag fit an enterprise or security-led SMB better when hosted records, DNS monitoring, and escalation mattered more than low entry cost. Domain grouping and client reporting were stronger once configured, and the MSP/MSSP positioning covered multi-tenant management and white-labeled reports, but the quoted partner model made budget planning harder during our test.

What each tool feels like after 90 days of real use

verifydmarc.com logo
VerifyDMARC

A lean reporting tool for domain-heavy teams

By week two, VerifyDMARC felt like a fast daily report review tool. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, and Mailchimp were readable without much tuning, and the parked domain alert made the spoof sample easy to isolate.
The rough edges showed when a sender did not fit the expected pattern. The support desk sender and unknown source needed owner notes outside the product, and the forwarded mail SPF failure had to be explained manually before we were comfortable moving policy.
Where it wins
Very low public entry price
Fast three-domain setup
Good source enrichment for common senders
Useful parked domain alerts
Where it lags
No hosted SPF or MTA-STS
No blocklist (blacklist) monitoring
Unknown sender workflow stayed manual
Priority support only on Large

Skysnag

A managed authentication tool for enforcement-led teams

After 90 days, Skysnag felt like a managed authentication workspace more than a reporting-only console. Hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS choices made the DNS model heavier, but they also gave our security review a clearer path to enforcement.
The day-to-day tradeoff was complexity. The platform helped explain the unauthorized spoof sample and the forwarded SPF failure better than VerifyDMARC, but pricing questions, add-ons, and plan limits took more follow-up before we could write a clean buyer recommendation.
Where it wins

Clearer spoof investigation flow

Stronger enterprise support path
Where it lags
Volume limits less transparent

If you cannot decide between the two, maybe the answer is Suped

Suped dashboard
Guided ownership fixes
VerifyDMARC surfaced the support desk sender and unknown source, but our handoff still needed outside notes. Suped turns those findings into owner-focused remediation steps so IT, marketing, and support know what to change.
Hosted records without the pricing fog
Skysnag's hosted SPF, DMARC, and MTA-STS path was useful, but several limits and add-ons needed confirmation. Suped publishes starter pricing and keeps hosted-record decisions tied to visible domain and email-volume limits.
Lower-noise operational alerts
Both products produced useful signals, but VerifyDMARC's alerts were narrower and Skysnag's broader alert set needed tuning. Suped focuses alerts on authentication regressions, new senders, spoof attempts, and DNS changes that need action.
The difference was significant. We moved from limited visibility to a much clearer dashboard. Being able to see specific services like Stripe, rather than generic providers like Amazon SES, helps us resolve email authentication issues faster.
