VerifyDMARC gave us more usable information sooner, especially for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and the SPF pass with visible From mismatch. DMARC Director had better account grouping, but it leaned on manual naming for Mailchimp, SendGrid, and the unknown sender. VerifyDMARC recognized Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace after the first aggregate reports landed, then grouped SendGrid and Mailchimp as known senders once we confirmed ownership. The unknown support desk sender stayed in a review state until we named it manually, but the SPF pass with visible From mismatch was clear enough to explain without exporting raw XML.
DMARC Director showed the same sending mix, but it put more weight on client and domain grouping than automatic naming. That helped the primary domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain stay separated, but Mailchimp and SendGrid needed more manual labeling, and the forwarded mail SPF failure required a deeper drilldown before the cause was clear.

The unknown sender was findable in the source view, and the forwarded mail case with SPF failure was explainable because DKIM still passed and the product kept the authentication result visible.
DMARC Director started with more account structure, so the first domain took longer and the parked domain required more setup checking. Once configured, the unknown sender review queue was useful, but the forwarded SPF failure needed extra explanation before a non-email specialist would understand why it was not a spoof.

The tradeoff was less public detail around support scope, escalation timing, and enterprise onboarding, so we would clarify those points before using it for a deadline-driven enforcement project.
