SendForensics vs.
Skysnag in 2026

SendForensics

Skysnag
vs.
We tested SendForensics and Skysnag for 90 days across a primary corporate domain, a marketing subdomain, and a parked domain. SendForensics felt strongest when DMARC reporting had to sit beside campaign deliverability checks; Skysnag pushed harder into hosted authentication, enforcement, DNS monitoring, and blocklist (blacklist) coverage.

Ten dimensions, scored from 0 to 10
We scored both products against a fixed editorial rubric built around enforcement readiness, source resolution, setup, MSP workflows, alerting, hosted authentication, blocklist (blacklist) monitoring, pricing clarity, and time to policy movement. Higher is better in every row.
Skysnag scores higher on managed authentication; SendForensics scores higher on pricing clarity and deliverability context
The largest gaps came from hosted SPF, hosted MTA-STS, DNS monitoring, and enforcement automation, where Skysnag had more native workflow. SendForensics scored better on pricing transparency and remained useful for deliverability teams, but the unknown sender and forwarded SPF failure both needed more manual explanation. We gave SendForensics a zero for hosted SPF/MTA-STS because we did not find that support in the tested workflow.

Breadth vs context
Skysnag covers more authentication infrastructure; SendForensics adds stronger deliverability context.
Skysnag covered more authentication infrastructure, including hosted SPF, hosted DMARC, hosted MTA-STS, TLS reporting, DNS monitoring, and blocklist (blacklist) monitoring. SendForensics gave better campaign context alongside DMARC reports, especially for SendGrid and Mailchimp checks. Buyers should require guided fixes and automated issue detection, because both products still left some DNS and owner translation work after the unknown sender case.
SendForensics

SendGrid checks felt useful
Mailchimp reporting was readable
Subdomain DKIM needed review
Skysnag

Microsoft 365 grouped quickly
Google Workspace hosted cleanly
Spoof sample isolated clearly
In SendForensics, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace appeared as recognizable corporate sources once the aggregate reports arrived, and SendGrid and Mailchimp were easy to compare against campaign tests for the marketing subdomain. The support desk sender needed a manual owner note, the unknown sender required IP and hostname review, and the DKIM pass on the marketing subdomain did not by itself produce a clear parent-domain enforcement recommendation.
Skysnag gave broader authentication coverage in the same setup. It separated Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and the support desk sender cleanly, treated the SPF pass with visible From mismatch as a policy risk, and gave stronger next-step context for hosted DMARC, SPF, MTA-STS, TLS reporting, DNS monitoring, and reputation checks.
User experience
Speed vs structure
SendForensics was faster to start; Skysnag was clearer after DNS was in place.
SendForensics had less setup friction and put report data in front of us quickly. Skysnag asked for more DNS decisions up front, then gave clearer operational paths once the sources started reporting. The tradeoff is speed versus a more prescriptive enforcement path.
SendForensics

Three domains added quickly
Unknown sender required digging
Forwarded SPF needed explanation
Skysnag

DNS setup took longer
Unknown sender surfaced clearly
Forwarding path explained better
Onboarding the three domains in SendForensics was quick because the workflow centered on receiving aggregate reports and reviewing sending sources. The unknown sender took extra digging through IP, reverse DNS, and report metadata, and the forwarded mail SPF failure required us to explain why DKIM still kept the message from becoming a policy blocker.
Skysnag took longer during setup because hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS introduced more DNS handoff steps. Once reports arrived, the unknown sender was easier to isolate, and the forwarded mail SPF failure had clearer context around forwarding behavior and authentication fallback.
Support
Self-serve vs handoff
Skysnag had stronger authentication handoff; SendForensics had clearer self-serve billing.
SendForensics gave enough setup detail for a competent marketing or IT admin to add the reporting records without much back-and-forth. Skysnag had more support value during DNS handoff because the hosted records created more decisions. For enterprise onboarding, Skysnag had the clearer path, while SendForensics kept pricing and add-ons easier to model.
SendForensics

Clear DNS values
Escalation felt sales-led
Enterprise SSO optional
Skysnag

Better DNS handoff
Priority support on Protect
Enterprise path clearer
During setup, SendForensics gave clear DNS values for the three domains and made the support desk sender easy to document once we knew the owner. Escalation felt more sales-led for optional enterprise SSO and custom integrations, and DNS handoff remained mostly self-serve.
Skysnag required more coordination because hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS changed the DNS operating model. The support path was more useful for escalation, enforcement planning, and enterprise onboarding, but the pricing and volume conversation needed more confirmation before procurement.
Suitability
Operator fit
SendForensics fits deliverability teams; Skysnag fits authentication operators.
SendForensics is the better fit when the same team owns campaign quality, inbox placement, and DMARC reporting. Skysnag fits teams that want account separation, domain grouping, hosted records, and enforcement operations. For MSP buyers, alert quality, client grouping, and handoff notes deserve contract-level review; Suped's product treats MSP workflows and alert routing as buying criteria with per-domain pricing.
SendForensics

Good SMB marketing fit
Agency segmentation helps
Manual client handoff
Skysnag

Stronger MSP account separation
Enterprise controls run deeper
SMBs face heavier setup
SendForensics suited the SMB and marketing workflow in our test because the primary domain and marketing subdomain could be reviewed beside deliverability checks. The Agency tier data segmentation helped separate reporting streams, but recurring client reports and handoff notes still needed manual cleanup before an MSP or enterprise stakeholder could act on them.
Skysnag suited enterprise and MSP-style operations better because account separation, domain grouping, hosted records, and recurring reporting were closer to the core workflow. SMBs get more authentication coverage, but the setup has more DNS decisions, and MSP pricing still needs quote confirmation for client estates.
What each tool feels like after 90 days of real use
SendForensics
Best for deliverability-led DMARC review
SendForensics felt practical after the first week because the three domains were live quickly and the marketing subdomain could be reviewed beside inbox placement and content tests. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace traffic was easy to trust once the reports normalized.
The slower work came from interpretation. The support desk sender and unknown source needed owner notes, the forwarded SPF failure needed DKIM context before policy movement, and exports needed cleanup before they were useful for a client or executive handoff.
Where it wins
Fast setup for three domains
Useful marketing subdomain context
Clear public pricing and add-ons
Good deliverability testing adjacency
Where it lags
No hosted SPF or MTA-STS
Unknown sender classification stayed manual
MSP handoff needed export cleanup
Policy guidance felt less prescriptive

Skysnag
Best for managed authentication operations
Skysnag felt more operational after the DNS work was complete. It handled the primary domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain as enforcement objects, and it made the spoof sample feel separate from normal authentication drift.
The cost was setup and procurement complexity. Hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS were useful, but they increased the DNS handoff, and the pricing page left volume limits and domain expansion less clear for the 10-domain and MSP-style scenarios.
Where it wins
Hosted authentication stack
Clearer spoof and forward context
Stronger MSP account structure
Useful DNS monitoring
Where it lags
Pricing volume limits needed confirmation
DNS onboarding was heavier
Small teams face more setup choices
Some enterprise scope required sales

Custom
Suite and MSP/MSSP scope are quote-based for large domain estates and higher volume.
20 domains and 2,500,000 monthly emails, with 365 days retention. Unlimited domains/emails negotiable.
SendForensics prices are public monthly list prices checked May 15, 2026, with the Large row calculated from the Company plan plus five public extra-domain add-ons. Skysnag Small and Medium use the public $39 / month Comply entry price; Skysnag Large and Enterprise need quote confirmation because current public pricing does not list 10-domain or 20-plus-domain pricing. Skysnag volume notes are best-effort from public listings and older public plan references, not guaranteed current contract terms.
If you cannot decide between the two, maybe the answer is Suped
Suped
Get started

Guided sender fixes
SendForensics identified the support desk sender and unknown source, but owner next steps stayed manual; Suped turns source findings into fix tasks and ownership notes.
Hosted records with approval steps
Skysnag covered hosted SPF and MTA-STS, but setup was DNS-heavy; Suped ties hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS changes to plain approval steps.
Cleaner MSP handoff
SendForensics exports needed editing and Skysnag MSP pricing needed confirmation; Suped gives MSPs per-domain pricing, client grouping, and recurring issue summaries.
The difference was significant. We moved from limited visibility to a much clearer dashboard. Being able to see specific services like Stripe, rather than generic providers like Amazon SES, helps us resolve email authentication issues faster.
