This service focuses on providing essential DMARC insights directly to your inbox. We found it a straightforward way to get started with DMARC without any cost barrier. The core offering is weekly email digests, giving you a snapshot of your domain's DMARC performance.
The reports highlight your top 10 mail sources, showing up to 5 IPs for each. While this offers basic visibility, it's not designed for deep dive analysis into every single sending IP. It's a 'get the basics' kind of tool, perfect for smaller operations or those just beginning their DMARC journey.
Centera DMARC Compliance positions itself as a more robust solution, aiming for full DMARC implementation and ongoing management. We anticipate a more interactive dashboard and granular data access, a step up from email-only reporting.
While detailed feature specifics aren't publicly as prominent as Postmark's free offering, a 'compliance' oriented product typically includes comprehensive reporting, forensic data, and tools to actively guide you towards a p=quarantine or p=reject policy. This implies a proactive approach to DMARC enforcement.

User experience

The user experience for Free DMARC Weekly Digests is incredibly simple because there isn't really a 'user interface' to navigate, apart from signing up and receiving emails. We configure our DNS records once, and the reports just start arriving weekly. It's a set-it-and-forget-it approach.
For those who prefer a hands-off approach and are comfortable interpreting email-based reports, this is fantastic. However, if you're looking for an interactive dashboard, advanced filtering, or on-demand reporting, you won't find it here. It's truly a no-frills service.
Centera DMARC Compliance, from what we understand, would typically involve a dedicated web dashboard, offering a centralized platform for DMARC management. This usually means a more interactive experience, allowing us to drill down into specific data points and visualize trends.
While we haven't had direct access to their dashboard, enterprise-level DMARC tools often provide intuitive interfaces for managing multiple domains, setting alerts, and generating custom reports. The expectation is a richer, more engaging user experience for comprehensive DMARC monitoring.
Which product has the best support

Support

LogoLogo
First comparison imageSecond comparison image
For the free DMARC weekly digests, support is primarily through actionable recommendations delivered via email. Given it's a free service, we shouldn't expect round-the-clock live chat or dedicated account managers.
Our experience suggests that general support for Postmark's wider services is good, but for the free DMARC reports, the level of interaction is limited to the automated advice provided within the reports themselves. For complex DMARC issues, you'd likely need to upgrade or seek external help.
A 'compliance' focused solution like Centera usually implies a higher level of support. We would expect access to technical support teams who can assist with DMARC record configuration, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting deliverability issues.
While specific support channels aren't detailed, enterprise-grade DMARC providers typically offer various options, including email, phone, and potentially dedicated customer success managers. This is crucial for organizations that need expert guidance to achieve and maintain DMARC compliance.

Suitability

LogoLogo
First comparison imageSecond comparison image
Free DMARC Weekly Digests is exceptionally well-suited for small businesses (SMBs) or individual domain owners who are just beginning their DMARC journey and need basic visibility without incurring costs. It's also suitable for those who manage a limited number of domains.
It is less suitable for enterprise organizations, MSPs (managed service providers), or those requiring multi-tenancy, granular reporting, or active policy enforcement. While a good starting point, it lacks the advanced features and centralized management needed for complex environments.
Centera DMARC Compliance is likely tailored for enterprise clients and MSPs who require comprehensive DMARC management, reporting, and active policy enforcement across multiple domains or clients. It targets organizations with complex email ecosystems that need to ensure robust email security.
For small businesses (SMBs) or individuals, Centera might be an overkill solution, both in terms of features and potentially cost, if their needs are simpler. MSPs could benefit from its compliance-oriented features for client domains, assuming it offers multi-tenancy capabilities.

Drawbacks and what to watch out for

The primary drawback of postmarkapp.com logoFree DMARC Weekly Digests by Postmark is its limited scope. While excellent for basic monitoring, it lacks a web dashboard, real-time data, and comprehensive historical reporting. It also offers no user management, making it unsuitable for teams. The free service only gives you a weekly snapshot, which might not be enough for actively managing DMARC policy enforcement. The main challenge with centera.io logoCentera DMARC Compliance is the lack of transparent pricing and detailed feature information publicly available. This makes it difficult to assess its value proposition without direct engagement. For smaller entities, it might be an over-engineered solution, and the opaque nature of its offering could be a deterrent.
We have pulled the average ratings from G2 for each product, and also included the most recent negative reviews for each product in full. Positive reviews tend to have less detail and have a higher chance of being fraudulent, so negative reviews are a better signal for your decision.

Not the best
What do you like best about ActiveCampaign Postmark? It works. Their API is easy-to-use and we never experienced any downtime. What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign Postmark? The price is too high for what we get. Also their administration panel and Analytics graphs are not user friendly. Recommendations to others considering ActiveCampaign Postmark: Check Mandrill as alternative. What problems is ActiveCampaign Postmark solving and how is that benefiting you? We use Postmark as secondary provider to send emails. We send ~100M emails per week.

A clean simple api
What do you like best about ActiveCampaign Postmark? Postmark has been simple and reliable in the 2+ years I've used them. Their API has a fast response time and their batch send calls has been helpful in maintaining a quick response time on our service. They've also been generous in giving us free credits from time to time. They provide webhooks for events you are interested in e.g. bounced emails, spam reports. Their documentation is extensive and comprehensive and also includes libraries for several languages (we use them with python and php). What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign Postmark? Some of the new features Postmark has added aren't as simple as their first product, especially the email templates. Their admin interface also is weird in that it only lets you look at 30 day periods for statistics (we track our own analytics so it's less of an issue for us). Recommendations to others considering ActiveCampaign Postmark: Postmark quickly and effectively help us getting transactional email up for our service. We've evaluated switching to Mailgun (since we get it for free) however right now postmark seems to have the simpler API. What problems is ActiveCampaign Postmark solving and how is that benefiting you? Postmark helped us quickly and effectively add an outside transactional email provider instead of sending SMTP emails. It's also helped ensure that our app stays quick when we were originally directly calling it from the application thread. We've had no problem with getting marked as spam or deliverability and their open tracking by email client has been helpful. We've sent 200,000+ emails with postmark so far.

Speed at a low price
What do you like best about ActiveCampaign Postmark? I really appreciate the speed with which I receive emails. It's very important to me that customers receive emails on time because otherwise we can miss out on some business. What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign Postmark? I don't like the fact that sometimes Mustachio, which is the language used to write emails, is a bit old-fashioned and I have to find other ways to do things that could be done in a more simple way. What problems is ActiveCampaign Postmark solving and how is that benefiting you? Postmark helps me send emails to my customers and retrieve data on email opens. This allows me to have complete control and visibility over the email communications sent.

Definitely worth trying for your company - better than other options!
What do you like best about ActiveCampaign Postmark? Postmark is a really great service and gets the job done when delivering emails to our recipients. There are almost never any hiccups (i.e. emails getting blocked like some other delivery services). We're better able to provide website maintenance and hosting PLUS email delivery services, which is a great one-stop shop feature for clients. Some advice I would give to those on the fence is trying the free trial of Postmark to see if it's a good fit for your company. What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign Postmark? The price isn't as competitive as other options, which can sometimes be an issue dealing with clients. The training opportunities are also minimal if you don't know where to start, which can sometimes be an issue. The biggest dislike from a technical standpoint is there isn't an archiving option. Some clients like this feature when working with us, so that's one thing that can have us looking at other transactional email services. Recommendations to others considering ActiveCampaign Postmark: I would recommend the free trial to those considering Postmark. It's just slightly above average pricing, but is also a better option than the competitors, so overall I would recommend! What problems is ActiveCampaign Postmark solving and how is that benefiting you? We're able to use just Postmark in-house to manage transactional emails, which is a great benefit because when we need to look up something, we don't have to search through individual emails. If something were to go wrong, we can simply check with Postmark. As for our clients, we can use Postmark to deliver all the necessary emails almost always without fail, so this gives us credibility to get the job done when we say we can manage their email services.
