EasyDMARC identified Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace quickly, then separated SendGrid and Mailchimp into readable source groups after enough aggregate reports arrived. The unknown sender needed manual review of IP ownership and message volume before we were comfortable classifying it, but the path was understandable. For the SPF pass with visible From mismatch, EasyDMARC surfaced the problem clearly, although the remediation notes were more useful after we paired them with our own sender owner list.
OnDMARC had the stronger hosted-authentication toolkit in our test. Dynamic SPF made the Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and support desk setup feel less fragile, and the DKIM pass on a subdomain was easier to reason about in the policy view. The forwarded mail case was cleaner than EasyDMARC because OnDMARC separated SPF failure from DKIM-based authentication success without making the event look like a spoof.

The DNS setup screens were direct, and the sender tables were approachable once Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, and Mailchimp traffic appeared. Finding the unknown sender took several filters, and the forwarded mail SPF failure needed a manual explanation before a non-specialist would trust the result.
OnDMARC onboarding had more moving parts because Dynamic Services, SPF, MTA-STS, and reporting settings sat close together. After setup, the product was better at telling the story behind the edge cases: the unknown sender had clearer investigation context, and the forwarded mail SPF failure was easier to explain because DKIM authentication remained visible. The tradeoff was that occasional operators needed more time before they knew where to click.

During setup, DNS instructions for the primary domain and marketing subdomain were clear enough for self-serve work, and the parked domain had a simple path to monitoring. The deeper questions, such as how to hand off a sender owner list or escalate an export concern, felt more tier-sensitive.
OnDMARC felt more structured for organizations that want implementation help. The onboarding flow made room for enterprise review, and the support framing around account reviews, dedicated support, and escalation was clearer than EasyDMARC for larger teams. The main issue was continuity: our notes had to bridge presales expectations, setup work, and the support desk handoff.

For a small internal team, the public free and paid entry tiers also made the first budget pass easier.
OnDMARC was stronger for a centralized enterprise team with a clear domain ownership model. It handled domain grouping, recurring account review, dynamic SPF, MTA-STS, and policy movement well, but it did not feel as naturally built for MSP client handoff. The domain authorization and grouping model worked for departments, yet it required more manual structure when we imagined multiple external clients.
