VerifyDMARC still covered the core DMARC reporting job well and included API access, SSO, bulk import, parked-domain alerts, TLS-RPT processing, and policy suggestions on low-cost public plans. A useful buying criterion here is whether guided fixes or automated issue detection should convert raw findings into owner-ready remediation, because that is where lean reporting tools can create weekly interpretation work.

VerifyDMARC gave us a compact feature set that covered the main test cases without much ceremony. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace were recognized quickly, SendGrid and Mailchimp appeared with enough detail to confirm aligned DKIM and SPF behavior, and the parked domain produced a useful alert when the spoof sample arrived. The unknown sender needed manual classification, and the DKIM pass on a subdomain required us to connect the dots between subdomain identity, organizational domain alignment, and the next DNS action.
Sendmarc covered the same DMARC analysis base and added more program depth around managed authentication, partner packaging, failure reports, blocklist (blacklist) reporting, MTA-STS and TLS reporting, and enterprise governance. In our setup, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace were easier to explain to a non-specialist, while SendGrid and Mailchimp mapping gave better context for owner handoff. The forwarded mail SPF failure was presented with clearer reasoning, which reduced the risk that a valid forwarding path would be treated like spoofing.

The parked domain setup was also direct, and the spoof sample showed up clearly after reports arrived. Finding the unknown sender took more manual inspection because the tool identified the traffic pattern but did not turn it into a confident ownership recommendation.
Sendmarc took longer to work through because it asked us to think about service level, policy status, and implementation ownership sooner. That extra structure helped when we had to explain the forwarded mail case: SPF failed because forwarding changed the sending path, but DKIM alignment preserved the stronger signal. The unknown sender was easier to triage because the interface gave more context around whether it belonged in an approved sender list, an investigation queue, or a rejection path.

In our test, grouping the primary domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain was workable, and recurring review was possible through exports and report views. Client handoff required more manual notes, especially when explaining why Mailchimp was legitimate for the marketing subdomain but an unknown sender on the corporate domain needed investigation.
Sendmarc was a better fit when we evaluated account separation, domain grouping, recurring reporting, and client handoff as operational workflows rather than isolated capabilities. The partner packaging, training, API access, co-branded workflows, and on-demand model made more sense for an MSP that manages many customers.
