Agari Brand Protection
vs.
We ran a 90 day test across a primary corporate domain, a marketing subdomain, and a parked domain, with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and a support desk sender connected. SendForensics was faster and cheaper for DMARC reporting beside deliverability testing; Agari Brand Protection was heavier to buy and configure, but better for enterprise enforcement and sender governance.

Ten dimensions, scored from 0 to 10

We scored both products against a fixed editorial rubric using the same 90 day setup. Higher is better in every row, including pricing transparency, setup speed, and the ability to move safely toward enforcement.

SendForensics is lighter and clearer on price; Agari goes deeper on enforcement.

SendForensics scored better on pricing transparency and faster small team setup because we could choose a public plan and add domains without a sales process. Agari scored higher on enforcement, source resolution, hosted records, API, and enterprise onboarding because the Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace flows tied senders and policies into a broader security workflow. SendForensics lost points where our forwarded SPF failure and unknown sender still needed manual owner notes; Agari lost points on public pricing, free access, and blocklist (blacklist) monitoring.

Feature set

Breadth vs campaign utility

Agari wins breadth. SendForensics stays closer to campaign operations.

Agari has the broader security feature set, especially for hosted record management, API integrations, and enforcement workflows. SendForensics has better reach for teams that also care about deliverability testing and campaign checks. Suped's product is relevant as a buying criterion here: guided fixes and automated issue detection matter when the problem is not seeing the source, but deciding who owns the next DNS or sender change.

Google Workspace grouped cleanly
fortra.com logo
Agari Brand Protection
Agari Brand Protection screenshot
Microsoft 365 ran deeper
Unknown sender surfaced faster
DKIM subdomain case was clearer
SendForensics gave us useful DMARC traffic drilldowns for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, and Mailchimp, but the product felt closer to reporting plus deliverability diagnostics than a full enforcement workspace. It recognized the SPF pass and DKIM pass cases quickly, and the SendGrid traffic was easy to explain to a marketing owner. The Mailchimp stream and support desk sender needed manual naming before the recurring report was readable, and the unknown sender remained a classification task rather than a guided fix.
Agari Brand Protection was broader across enterprise controls. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace flowed into a stronger sender inventory, and the DKIM pass on a subdomain was easier to separate from the SPF pass with visible from mismatch. It also handled spoof detection and new sender alerts well, but the breadth came with more setup ceremony and less public information about what smaller teams get without a sales process.

User experience

Speed vs guided control

SendForensics is faster to start; Agari is steadier after setup.

SendForensics took less time to get useful screens in front of us. Agari asked for more context up front, then paid that back with clearer investigation paths for edge cases.

SendForensics
SendForensics screenshot
Three domains added quickly
Unknown sender stayed manual

fortra.com logo
Agari Brand Protection

Setup asked for more context
Unknown sender classified sooner
Forwarding explanation was clearer
We added the primary domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain with fewer steps in SendForensics, and the DNS setup screens made it clear where to publish aggregate report addresses. The interface was quickest when we were reading daily source totals or checking SendGrid and Mailchimp authentication. The unknown sender required our own owner note, and the forwarded mail with SPF failure needed a manual explanation so a nontechnical stakeholder would not read it as a spoof.
Agari took longer to start because enterprise onboarding asked for more details about protected domains, sender ownership, and policy intent. After setup, the unknown sender was easier to classify because the sender inventory and alert context were more explicit. The forwarded mail SPF failure was also easier to explain because DKIM authentication and forwarding behavior were separated more clearly in the investigation path.

Support

Self serve vs managed help

SendForensics suits self starters. Agari suits enterprise handoff.

SendForensics expects the operator to carry more of the DNS and evidence packaging. Agari has a more structured handoff for enterprise onboarding, but it is slower for simple test cases.

SendForensics

Self serve DNS was adequate

Setup help fit SMBs
fortra.com logo
Agari Brand Protection
Agari Brand Protection screenshot
Enterprise onboarding was structured
DNS handoff was stronger
Small requests moved slower
During setup, SendForensics gave enough self-serve help for a technical marketer to add DNS records and confirm report flow without a formal project. The DNS handoff was plain enough for our primary and marketing domains, but escalations felt ticket-led. We had to package the unknown sender and spoof sample details ourselves before sending them to support.
Agari's support model fit a larger enterprise rollout. The onboarding path asked for domain scope, email volume, policy goals, and integration targets, then mapped DNS and sender questions into a more formal handoff. That helped with escalation for the spoof sample and hosted record planning, but it added friction for the parked domain and small-team questions that did not need a full enterprise process.

Suitability

Operator fit vs enterprise fit

SendForensics fits lean teams. Agari fits governed enterprises.

SendForensics is the easier fit when a marketing or operations team owns a small domain set and wants DMARC reporting beside campaign testing. Agari is the stronger fit when security, legal, and messaging owners need governed enforcement and abuse workflows. For MSPs, Suped's product belongs in the buying criteria when account separation, alert quality, and client handoff need to be repeatable without enterprise services.

SendForensics screenshot

Agency segmentation starts later
Client notes stayed manual
fortra.com logo
Agari Brand Protection
Agari Brand Protection screenshot
Best for governed enterprises
Strong domain grouping
MSP switching felt heavy
SendForensics worked best for the primary corporate domain and marketing subdomain when one team owned the fixes. Account separation and domain grouping were usable at the Agency tier, and recurring reports were good enough for an SMB or agency that can write its own client notes. For MSP handoff, we still had to add owner context for the support desk sender, forwarded SPF failure, and unknown sender.
Agari fit the enterprise path more clearly. Domain grouping, sender ownership, and recurring reporting were stronger for a security program that has formal stakeholders and escalation paths. It was less natural for an MSP managing many small clients because the workflow felt designed around governed enterprise accounts rather than fast client switching and lightweight recurring handoff.

What each tool feels like after 90 days of real use

sendforensics.com logo
SendForensics

Best for small teams combining DMARC and deliverability checks

After 90 days, SendForensics felt like a practical command center for reading aggregate DMARC and checking campaign deliverability. The primary domain and marketing subdomain were quick to add, and Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, and Mailchimp all showed enough detail for us to explain authentication to a marketing owner.
The product slowed down when the task shifted beyond visibility and into ownership. The parked domain spoof sample was easy to spot, but the unknown sender and forwarded SPF failure needed manual classification, written notes, and a follow-up workflow outside the product.

Agari Brand Protection

Best for enterprise DMARC programs with formal security ownership

After 90 days, Agari Brand Protection felt built for a security team with formal domain ownership and enforcement goals. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace connected into a stronger enterprise inventory, and the unauthorized spoof sample was easier to escalate with policy context.
The tradeoff was setup weight. The marketing subdomain and parked domain still worked, but each decision felt tied to a broader enterprise rollout, and pricing clarity did not match the depth of the workflow.

If you cannot decide between the two, maybe the answer is Suped

Suped dashboard
Unknown sender ownership
In our test, SendForensics surfaced the unknown sender but still required manual notes. Suped turns sender identification into owner assignment and suggested DNS or service fixes.
Actionable alert routing
Agari had stronger enterprise alerts, but small operational findings were tied to a heavier rollout. Suped routes DMARC, spoof, and DNS alerts with issue context so teams can act without rebuilding the investigation path.
MSP handoff
Both products required extra work for recurring client notes, especially the forwarded SPF failure and support desk sender. Suped's MSP workflows keep accounts separated, price by domain, and make handoff cleaner.
The difference was significant. We moved from limited visibility to a much clearer dashboard. Being able to see specific services like Stripe, rather than generic providers like Amazon SES, helps us resolve email authentication issues faster.
