SendForensics positions itself as a robust email deliverability and DMARC reporting tool. We found its DMARC report analysis to be quite detailed, offering insights into authentication results, sending sources, and potential spoofing attempts. The platform excels in providing a holistic view of email health beyond just DMARC.
Beyond core DMARC, SendForensics integrates extensive deliverability testing, including spam tests, client previews, and inbox placement tests. This breadth of features means we can identify issues impacting email delivery across various dimensions, from content to infrastructure, making it a powerful tool for marketers and email administrators alike. It offers a clear, actionable path to improving email performance.
Agari Brand Protection primarily focuses on DMARC enforcement and brand defense against advanced email threats. Its strength lies in taking an aggressive stance against impersonation and phishing, leveraging DMARC to prevent unauthorized use of a brand's domain. The platform is designed for organizations with significant brand reputation concerns and a need for strong domain security.
The solution provides comprehensive visibility into email traffic, helping to identify legitimate and fraudulent sending sources. Its approach to DMARC implementation and policy management is geared towards achieving full enforcement (p=reject), minimizing risks associated with email-based attacks. We observed its reporting to be clean and focused on critical DMARC metrics, enabling swift action against malicious activity.

User experience

SendForensics generally offers an intuitive interface that is easy to navigate, particularly for users focused on email deliverability metrics. We found that the dashboards present information clearly, with visualisations that help in understanding DMARC compliance and deliverability trends at a glance. Setting up domains and interpreting initial reports is straightforward.
However, some of the more advanced features, such as deep-diving into specific email test results or understanding the nuances of certain flags, can require a bit of a learning curve. While the platform provides valuable data, correlating all the information to pinpoint a specific problem sometimes feels like piecing together a puzzle, albeit with helpful guides.
Agari Brand Protection’s user experience is tailored towards security professionals who prioritize DMARC enforcement. The interface is clean and functional, designed to highlight critical security alerts and DMARC policy progression. For those familiar with email security paradigms, we found its layout logical and efficient.
For users less accustomed to DMARC specifics and broader email authentication concepts, the initial setup and policy configuration can be somewhat complex. The emphasis is on deep security insights rather than general email marketing deliverability, which might feel less intuitive for those outside of a security operations role. Its power is in its precision for enforcement, which comes with a steeper learning curve for the uninitiated.

Support

First comparison imageSecond comparison image
SendForensics offers support primarily through a ticketing system and comprehensive knowledge base. We found the documentation to be quite helpful for common issues and feature explanations, allowing for self-service problem solving. This is often sufficient for most routine inquiries and optimisations.
Response times for support tickets can vary, sometimes taking a few hours and other times extending to a few days. While the support team is generally knowledgeable, the inconsistency in response speed might be a point of consideration for users who require immediate assistance for critical deliverability challenges.
Agari Brand Protection provides a more enterprise-focused support model, which often includes dedicated account management and direct access to technical experts, particularly for larger deployments. We experienced their support as being very hands-on when it comes to complex DMARC policy deployments and threat mitigation strategies.
However, for more routine inquiries or for smaller organizations, the support might feel a little less agile. Some users have reported that policy curation can be complex, and getting timely assistance for these nuances can sometimes be slow. This suggests a support structure geared towards more significant, less frequent interactions.

Suitability

SendForensics is highly suitable for SMBs and marketing teams within larger organisations that are focused on optimising email deliverability and ensuring their campaigns reach the inbox. Its detailed analytics and testing tools provide value for anyone looking to improve their sender reputation and avoid spam folders. For MSPs, it offers features that could be useful for managing client deliverability.
It is also a strong contender for enterprise clients who require comprehensive deliverability insights alongside DMARC reporting, especially those with diverse sending infrastructure or complex email marketing strategies. Its blend of DMARC and deliverability features makes it a good fit for organizations that value both security and marketing effectiveness.
Agari Brand Protection is best suited for enterprise-level organizations, particularly those in sectors prone to phishing and brand impersonation, such as financial services or technology. Its strong focus on DMARC enforcement and threat intelligence makes it invaluable for protecting high-value domains and critical communications. It is less suited for SMBs, who might find its complexity and cost prohibitive.
For MSPs, Agari Brand Protection could be part of a broader security offering for enterprise clients, focusing on top-tier domain protection. Organizations with a mature security posture and a clear mandate to achieve DMARC enforcement (p=reject) will find Agari's capabilities aligned with their objectives. We see it as a robust solution for brand defense, rather than general deliverability improvement.

SendForensics' main drawbacks revolve around inconsistent support response times and occasional glitches, which can interrupt workflow. It sometimes flags legitimate content like physical mailing addresses, creating unnecessary adjustments. Agari Brand Protection, while powerful, can be complex to set up and may have slower support for non-critical issues, making it less ideal for organizations without dedicated security teams or those not prioritizing aggressive brand defense.
We have pulled the average ratings from G2 for each product, and also included the most recent negative reviews for each product in full. Positive reviews tend to have less detail and have a higher chance of being fraudulent, so negative reviews are a better signal for your decision.

Increase your email deliverability with Send Forensics
What do you like best about SendForensics? Easy to use, interface is intuitive to navigate, our whole team can access and use the product with a single sign-on. There is no limit to the number of email tests you can send to Send Forensics to test, so it is not an issue to test every single campaign prior to launch to maximize deliverability. What do you dislike about SendForensics? Lag time has been an issue in the past - emails not rendering in Send Forensics has slowed down my work flow. Support team response has varied from a few hours to a few days to respond to a ticket. Also flags items within email template that are required by CANSPAM law, like our physical mailing address. Also can be glitchy, where previews of emails with flagged content does not render. What problems is SendForensics solving and how is that benefiting you? We run all our emails through Send Forensics prior to launch, to catch spammy words/copy and to improve the likelihood that our emails will reach inboxes of our customers.

Descent Email Security
What do you like best about Fortra DMARC Protection? I am a new user of cloud email protection and I am extremely fond of the added security layer it offers to the users of office 365. Most amazing feature is the added notification whenever a suspicious mail is there. I have observed that the other folder segregation doesn't always work in the office 365 but here it works like magic. What do you dislike about Fortra DMARC Protection? The policies are a bit off to curate for an individual from a non tech background. And the support provided by the team are a little slow. Rest everything is up to the mark and I'll still continue to use it further. What problems is Fortra DMARC Protection solving and how is that benefiting you? It is enabling an added security layer to the emails with confidential content to make it a little better and secure for all the individuals within an organization.

SendForensics Review - How it helped us test and get to inboxes
What do you like best about SendForensics? I like that it shows keywords that we can change flagged words to, similar words that you can update and exact content issues. I also like the live inbox placement testing. It also tells you if you should go ahead and send or make some changes and optimize. Send Forensics has different sections that they look at - vocabulary and copywriting, coding and layout, link quality and data collection. Most of our issues fall under the vocab and copywriting/content. The support and the guide section is also really helpful and most of the things we have questions on get answered pretty quickly there. It also is a good price for the service that you get. We looked and did free trials for a lot of companies, and feel Send Forensics gives you a lot of what we needed for a very reasonable price. What do you dislike about SendForensics? You really have to learn to use it and see the correct patterns. Sometimes we will test something and change what they told us to, and when we retest we are hitting less inboxes or getting a lower deliverability than before. Lots of trial and error. Recommendations to others considering SendForensics: Do the free trial, test it out and make sure it works for you first. But if you want to fully see what it can do, pay the low price of $49 a month and do some testing. You will likely get some insights you were not receiving before and it'll help you out moving forward with getting into inboxes. What problems is SendForensics solving and how is that benefiting you? With our current mailing system, we weren't seeing inbox placement and spam score testing. So this is helping a lot by telling us whether the main providers or not would have it fall into the inbox or spam folder. We've come to realize some words that are flagged so we can make the changes before even testing it in Send Forensics, so you do learn a pattern about how these things work. Send Forensics even goes as far as to show you your reputation, deliverability score, blacklists, errors, etc.

Valuable tool that everyone serious with email marketing should use
What do you like best about SendForensics? SendForensics gives you a lot of information regarding your emails, without this tool you would have to use several other tools to be able to view all the information, and it would be much harder to do any real analysis of your “email health”. What do you dislike about SendForensics? I would like more details, especially regarding errors found in “Vocabulary & Copywriting” and “Coding & Layout”. Recommendations to others considering SendForensics: Run the trial and spend an hour investigating, you can quickly see if this is a tool for you. What problems is SendForensics solving and how is that benefiting you? Email marketing is difficult to succeed with, doesn't matter how much money we throw at it. SendForensics enables us to trim and adjust our email campaigns so that we get the maximum possible return on our investment. It's so much faster to find out how to improve our email campaigns with SendForensics.
