Ten dimensions, scored from 0 to 10

We scored each product against a fixed editorial rubric using the same 90-day setup, sender list, authentication cases, and review tasks. Higher is better in every row.

GoDMARC scored higher for managed enforcement, while Fraudmarc CE scored higher for self-hosted control.

GoDMARC gave us faster policy guidance after Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, and Mailchimp were approved, but it lost points where pricing and Enterprise limits needed confirmation. Fraudmarc CE kept the data in our AWS account and handled the three domains without a vendor domain cap, but sender resolution, alerting, support handoff, and enforcement planning needed more manual work.

Feature set

Managed breadth vs self-hosted basics

GoDMARC has the fuller DMARC toolset. Fraudmarc CE has the cleaner ownership model.

GoDMARC covered more of the surrounding email-authentication work, including IP reputation, blocklist (blacklist) checks, DNS history, forensic reports on paid tiers, and MTA-TLS reporting on Go-Pro. Fraudmarc CE covered the core aggregate reporting workflow well, but buyers should ask how guided fixes and automated issue detection will work before relying on it for enforcement movement.

AWS data ownership
Unlimited domains possible
Unknown senders need tagging
In our test, GoDMARC recognized Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace quickly and made SendGrid and Mailchimp easier to review by grouping them as familiar commercial senders. The support desk sender needed more inspection because the visible From domain did not match the SPF domain, but the product still kept it in a reviewable flow. The DKIM pass on a subdomain was easier to explain than the forwarded mail case, where SPF failed and the tool needed human interpretation before we marked it safe.
Fraudmarc CE gave us the raw aggregate reporting foundation we expected from a self-hosted analyzer. We liked that one RUA address could collect reports for the corporate domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain, and the AWS-backed database kept the data under our control. The tradeoff was classification depth: Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace were understandable, but SendGrid, Mailchimp, the support desk sender, and the unknown sender took more manual tagging before the reports became owner-ready.

User experience

Guided setup vs operator setup

GoDMARC feels faster for security teams. Fraudmarc CE feels better for infrastructure owners.

GoDMARC had fewer setup decisions for the three domains, and the active versus parked domain distinction stayed visible during review. Fraudmarc CE gave us more control, but the first useful dashboard came after AWS, DNS, SES, and deployment work were complete.

Fraudmarc Community Edition screenshot
AWS setup comes first
Operator-friendly raw data
Forwarding needs DMARC knowledge
GoDMARC's onboarding was direct: we added the primary corporate domain first, then the marketing subdomain, then the parked domain, and each domain had a clear verification path. Finding the unknown sender took a few clicks through aggregate reports, source grouping, and authentication details. Explaining the forwarded mail SPF failure still required DMARC knowledge, but the evidence stayed close enough that we could write a handoff note without exporting raw rows.
Fraudmarc CE's user experience started before the product UI because setup lives in AWS. Once deployed, the dashboard was usable for aggregate report review, but the unknown sender required a manual trail through source data and message counts. The forwarded mail SPF failure was visible as a failure pattern, yet the explanation depended on the operator knowing why DKIM domain matching matters when SPF breaks in transit.

Support

Hands-on help vs community support

GoDMARC is better for teams that need setup help. Fraudmarc CE expects technical ownership.

GoDMARC has clearer support expectations for a buyer who wants help with DNS handoff, onboarding, and escalation. Fraudmarc CE is open source and community-oriented, so the buyer keeps responsibility for AWS deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.

Community support model
AWS skills required
Escalation stays internal
During setup, GoDMARC's support model fit the work of getting DNS records reviewed and helping a security or IT owner understand what had to change. The Free and Basic support expectations were lighter, while Enterprise was the clearer match for escalation and dedicated handoff. We would still confirm the Enterprise active-domain language before signing, because the public pricing notes conflict on that point.
Fraudmarc CE support is a different bargain: the license is free, but help depends on community resources and the team's AWS skill. DNS handoff was entirely ours, including SES receipt, Route 53 decisions, and making sure the RUA destination worked. For enterprise onboarding, the self-hosted model can satisfy internal control requirements, but the escalation path is not the same as a managed vendor relationship.

Suitability

Enterprise fit vs operator fit

GoDMARC fits managed enforcement buyers. Fraudmarc CE fits teams that accept self-hosted ownership.

GoDMARC is the safer fit for SMB and enterprise teams that want faster reporting, vendor support, and a managed route toward quarantine or reject. Fraudmarc CE is strongest for operators who value AWS control, and MSP buyers should compare account separation, client handoff, recurring reporting, and alert quality before choosing either product.

GoDMARC screenshot
SMB rollout is simpler
Enterprise quote needs detail
MSP handoff is partial
fraudmarc.com logo
Fraudmarc Community Edition
Fraudmarc Community Edition screenshot
Best for AWS owners
Client grouping needs design
Reporting needs process
For SMBs, GoDMARC was easier to explain because the dashboard could separate the corporate domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain without turning the project into infrastructure work. For enterprise buyers, the value was stronger around policy movement, support handoff, and security review, although pricing and active-domain details need confirmation at higher tiers. For MSPs, team access and reporting were useful, but client grouping and recurring handoff notes felt less purpose-built than a dedicated multi-client workflow.
Fraudmarc CE suited the operator profile better than the managed-service buyer profile. Account separation and domain grouping can be designed in AWS and the app, but it takes planning rather than a packaged MSP workflow. Recurring reports and client handoff also need process work, which is acceptable for technical teams but heavy for agencies or SMBs that want a ready operating model.

What each tool feels like after 90 days of real use

godmarc.com logo
GoDMARC

Managed DMARC reporting for teams that want momentum

After 90 days, GoDMARC felt like a practical DMARC rollout product rather than only a report viewer. The first week was mostly about adding the corporate domain, marketing subdomain, and parked domain, then proving that Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Mailchimp, and the support desk sender were legitimate.
The product was most useful when we needed to decide whether the parked domain could move faster toward enforcement and whether the marketing subdomain still had unresolved third-party senders. The main friction was around paid-tier boundaries, public pricing inconsistencies, and cases where source classification still needed a human owner.

Fraudmarc Community Edition

Self-hosted DMARC reporting for AWS-capable teams

After 90 days, Fraudmarc CE felt like a useful open-source reporting base for teams that already accept AWS ownership. It handled the three test domains through one RUA collection path, and the cost model was easy to explain because the license is free and the main cost is infrastructure.
The daily work was heavier than GoDMARC. The unknown sender needed manual classification, the support desk mismatch needed operator notes, and the forwarded mail SPF failure was not something we would hand directly to a non-technical stakeholder without translation.

If you cannot decide between the two, maybe the answer is Suped

Suped dashboard
Guided sender fixes
GoDMARC surfaced the support desk mismatch, but the owner-ready remediation still needed manual wording. Suped turns sender identification into guided fixes so teams can assign the next step without rewriting the finding.
Hosted records
Fraudmarc CE kept DMARC data in AWS, but SPF, DMARC, and MTA-STS record ownership stayed outside the reporting workflow. Suped keeps hosted records and reporting in one operational path.
Cleaner client handoff
Both products needed extra process for recurring MSP handoff notes. Suped's MSP workflows are built around account separation, client reporting, and alert routing across multiple domains.
The difference was significant. We moved from limited visibility to a much clearer dashboard. Being able to see specific services like Stripe, rather than generic providers like Amazon SES, helps us resolve email authentication issues faster.
