Glockapps provides a comprehensive suite of email deliverability tools beyond just DMARC reporting. We've found its core strength lies in its spam testing, where it checks email content against various spam filters and provides detailed reports on inbox placement across different email providers. This includes insights into content issues, HTML code problems, and overall sender reputation.
For DMARC, Glockapps offers analysis of DMARC aggregate reports, helping to visualize email authentication results for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. It aids in identifying legitimate sending sources and detecting potential spoofing attempts. While strong in overall email health, its DMARC-specific features are part of a broader platform rather than a standalone, deep-dive DMARC solution.
DMARC Director, developed by Tangent, focuses almost exclusively on DMARC policy enforcement and reporting. Its primary function is to help organizations achieve DMARC compliance and protect their domains from email spoofing. We've seen it excel at parsing DMARC aggregate reports, making it straightforward to understand authentication failures and legitimate traffic patterns.
The platform emphasizes proactive DMARC management, allowing us to identify unauthorized senders and move domains towards stricter DMARC policies like quarantine or reject. While it does not offer the broad email testing capabilities of Glockapps, its dedicated approach provides granular control and detailed analytics specifically for DMARC, SPF, and DKIM alignment.
How easy is each product to use
User experience
Glockapps presents a dashboard with a wide array of tools, which can feel a bit overwhelming initially for users primarily focused on DMARC. However, once familiarized, navigating between spam testing, DMARC reports, and blacklist monitoring becomes intuitive. The reports are visually rich, offering clear charts and graphs that help in quickly grasping deliverability issues.
Setting up new tests or integrating DMARC records requires some technical understanding, but the platform guides users through the process. We appreciate the detailed explanations accompanying the data, making it easier to interpret complex email authentication results, even if the sheer volume of features can take some getting used to.
DMARC Director offers a more streamlined and focused user interface, specifically tailored for DMARC management. For those solely concerned with DMARC, the dashboard is clean and easy to understand, presenting key metrics like DMARC compliance rates and identified threats front and center. The learning curve is gentler for DMARC-specific tasks.
The setup process for DMARC records is straightforward, and the reporting is designed for quick identification of issues affecting DMARC alignment. While its dedicated focus is a strength, users looking for broader email deliverability insights, like content testing or inbox placement, might find the platform's scope limited to DMARC data.
Which product has the best support
Support
Our experience with Glockapps' support has been generally positive, particularly for routine queries. They offer live chat, email support, and a comprehensive knowledge base. The live chat provides quick responses for basic questions, which is helpful when you're in a pinch.
However, for more complex deliverability challenges or issues requiring deeper investigation, response times can vary. While the support team is knowledgeable about their product, reaching a human by phone can be difficult, with calls often going to an answering machine, as some users have pointed out. This can be a point of frustration for urgent matters.
DMARC Director, being a Tangent product, leverages their established support channels. While specific DMARC Director reviews regarding support are scarce, Tangent generally offers phone and email support, as indicated by the contact information on their website. They provide multiple phone numbers and email addresses for sales and general inquiries.
Given its enterprise focus (implied by the lack of public pricing and need for quotes), we anticipate a more direct and personalized support experience, likely including dedicated account managers for larger clients. However, without direct feedback on DMARC Director's support, we can only infer its quality based on Tangent's broader service offerings.
Who should use each product
Suitability
Glockapps is highly suitable for SMBs and marketing agencies that manage email campaigns and need a broad overview of email health. Its comprehensive spam testing, DMARC monitoring, and blacklist checking features make it an excellent choice for those who need to troubleshoot deliverability issues across various facets of their email program. For MSPs, it offers good value for monitoring multiple client domains.
For enterprise clients, while Glockapps offers an 'Enterprise' plan, its multi-tenancy and advanced API capabilities might not be as robust as platforms designed specifically for large-scale, complex DMARC deployments. It is best for organizations prioritizing general email deliverability alongside DMARC, rather than DMARC as a standalone security priority.
DMARC Director is well-suited for organizations, including enterprises and MSPs, that require a dedicated, focused solution for DMARC policy enforcement and domain protection. Its emphasis on granular DMARC reporting and the ability to move domains efficiently to a 'reject' policy makes it ideal for security-conscious businesses. For MSPs, it could be a robust tool for managing DMARC for numerous client domains, assuming multi-tenancy features are strong.
SMBs might find DMARC Director's pricing (which requires contacting sales) and its singular focus on DMARC less appealing if they also require broader email deliverability testing. It targets users who understand the critical importance of DMARC and are looking for a specialized tool to achieve and maintain full DMARC compliance, potentially integrating with existing security stacks.

Drawbacks and what to watch out for
Glockapps' main drawbacks include a potentially overwhelming interface for new users and some reported inconsistencies or challenges with customer support response times, especially for urgent phone inquiries. Some users have also highlighted unexpected price increases and strict payment verification policies. DMARC Director's primary limitation is its lack of transparent pricing and the absence of publicly available user reviews, making it harder to assess real-world user satisfaction and specific pain points. Its focused feature set, while a strength for DMARC, means it doesn't offer broader email deliverability testing.
We have pulled the average ratings from G2 for each product, and also included the most recent negative reviews for each product in full. Positive reviews tend to have less detail and have a higher chance of being fraudulent, so negative reviews are a better signal for your decision.

What do you like best about GlockApps?
Good software with great email delivery analysis. To be able to test on a freemium and see if it land into the inbox of Gmail, Outlook and other accounts is great. The analysis feature detects most of the issues.
What do you dislike about GlockApps?
Their email delivery consulting service is a scam, they advertise a money-back guarantee, and during the consultation, they only try to upsell you instead of giving the right solution. They don't provide the invoice for the purchase, and even when asked multiple times, they ghost you as soon as you request the money-back garantee. Also, their email delivery analytics does not detect link issues with Microsoft accounts.
What problems is GlockApps solving and how is that benefiting you?
It help detect email delivery issue, used it to detect why email did not landed into microsoft account. I wasn't able to find the real reason with Glockapps but it helps to know if the email were delivered or not into Microsoft email accounts (hotmail, outlook,...)
