Everest positions itself as a comprehensive email success platform, offering a wide array of tools beyond just DMARC. Its feature set encompasses deliverability monitoring, inbox placement testing, email validation, and competitive intelligence. This breadth makes it a powerhouse for organizations looking for an all-in-one solution for their email program.
We found Everest's DMARC reporting to be robust, integrating well with its other deliverability insights. This unified approach provides a holistic view of email performance, allowing users to connect DMARC compliance directly with their sender reputation and inboxing rates. It's designed for teams that require deep insights into every facet of their email ecosystem.
DMARC Monitor, as its name suggests, is primarily focused on DMARC reporting and monitoring. It provides essential tools for understanding DMARC reports, tracking SPF and DKIM authentication, and identifying potential email spoofing. Its feature set is more streamlined, catering to users whose primary concern is DMARC compliance and protection.
We observed that DMARC Monitor delivers the core DMARC functionalities effectively, making it a reliable choice for organizations with straightforward DMARC needs. While it may not offer the extensive deliverability features of Everest, its specialized focus means that it provides a clear and direct path to DMARC enforcement without the added complexity of broader email marketing tools.

User experience

Everest boasts a highly customizable dashboard, which users generally find intuitive once configured. However, its extensive feature set can lead to a learning curve, especially for new users or those accustomed to simpler platforms. Navigating the myriad of reports and tools requires some initial investment in understanding its structure.
We found that while Everest offers powerful filtering and visualization capabilities, some users report difficulty in remembering where specific tools or reports are located. The transition from older platforms like Return Path has also presented challenges for some, indicating that while the interface is modern, its comprehensive nature demands familiarity.
DMARC Monitor offers a more focused user experience, centered around DMARC reports. This specialization generally leads to a simpler and more straightforward interface, making it easier for users to get started with DMARC monitoring without being overwhelmed by additional features.
We anticipate that users primarily concerned with DMARC compliance will find DMARC Monitor's interface clean and easy to navigate. The simplicity of its offering means less time spent on setup and configuration, allowing users to quickly access the DMARC data they need to protect their domains.
Which product has the best support

Support

First comparison imageSecond comparison image
Everest's support receives mixed feedback. While some users praise the responsiveness and diligence of their account managers, others report challenges, particularly after the Return Path acquisition, noting historical issues with customer support and APIs. Technical questions sometimes take longer to clarify.
We've seen reports of a personalized onboarding experience sometimes lacking, despite the platform's complexity. For larger enterprises with dedicated teams, the support might be sufficient, but smaller businesses may desire more hands-on assistance beyond standard office hours or generic support channels.
Information regarding DMARC Monitor's specific support structure is not readily available. Given its simpler, more focused offering, we would expect support to be tailored to DMARC-related inquiries, potentially through online documentation, email, or ticketing systems.
Without detailed user feedback or explicit statements on their website, it's difficult to gauge the depth or responsiveness of DMARC Monitor's support. Users should clarify available support channels and response times before committing, especially if they anticipate needing assistance with DMARC record configuration or troubleshooting.

Suitability

Everest is ideally suited for enterprise and mid-market organizations with complex email programs and a significant volume of email sending. Its comprehensive suite of tools, including reputation monitoring, inbox placement, and list validation, makes it invaluable for teams that need deep insights into every aspect of their email deliverability. MSPs supporting clients with diverse and large email needs would also find its capabilities beneficial.
For SMBs, Everest might be an overkill or financially prohibitive unless they have advanced deliverability requirements. It’s designed for those who need to fine-tune their email strategy, address granular deliverability issues across various mailbox providers, and integrate insights across multiple ESPs.
DMARC Monitor is best for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and individual users who primarily need to establish and monitor DMARC compliance. Its free tier makes it highly accessible for those just starting with DMARC or with limited budgets. MSPs looking for a straightforward DMARC solution for clients with less complex email infrastructures might also find it suitable.
For enterprise-level organizations or those requiring extensive email deliverability insights beyond DMARC, DMARC Monitor's focused feature set might be too limited. It's a solid choice for organizations prioritizing basic DMARC enforcement and reporting without the need for broader email performance analytics.

Drawbacks and what to watch out for

Everest, while powerful, has faced criticism regarding its pricing practices, with some users reporting unexpected renewal clauses. Its extensive feature set, while a strength, can also be a drawback due to a steep learning curve and occasional navigation issues. On the other hand, DMARC Monitor, being more specialized, lacks the broader deliverability and monitoring features that larger organizations might need, and there is less public information about its support and advanced capabilities.
We have pulled the average ratings from G2 for each product, and also included the most recent negative reviews for each product in full. Positive reviews tend to have less detail and have a higher chance of being fraudulent, so negative reviews are a better signal for your decision.

Shady sales practice shoot down ok software - don't use these guys
What do you like best about Everest? The software is decent and the validation program works for Microsoft (Hotmail etc) based email, but not for Gmail What do you dislike about Everest? Terrible sales practice. Call you within 45 days of renewal, when you ask to change you are told you can't as there is a hidden lock-in in the T+Cs, you need to give 60 days' notice. Legal but shady, we renewed and then immediately gave notice for next year. They used to be good not so now. Recommendations to others considering Everest: Find another supplier, these guys are sharks What problems is Everest solving and how is that benefiting you? Helped delivery to MS-based email

No G2 reviews
G2 is the most popular review platform for DMARC products, so this is a strong signal that this product is not popular.
Good for Beginners in Deliverability...Could be Better for Pros
What do you like best about Everest? Setting up Dashboards to monitor all deliverability metrics What do you dislike about Everest? Support is okay, but it could be lot better Navigational aids are not comparable to other industry-rated tools. Recommendations to others considering Everest: New to the deliverability landscape, this tool is perfect for you, but if you are an industry pro and understand the ins and outs of deliverability I would look elsewhere. What problems is Everest solving and how is that benefiting you? Improving inbox placement Lowering spam complaints

Review after using more than 2 months
What do you like best about Everest? Able to help in domain and IP blacklisted daily checking. Quick display the domain reputation status. After using Inbox placement service and domains/IP pools, feel their interface is nice and clear. What do you dislike about Everest? Does not provide the IP or domain score with ISP like Hotmail and Yahoo. Inbox percentage in accurate due to need send to all seed's ISP just able to get the score. Inbox percentage for Hotmail does not accurate. Does not provide whitelisting service for IPs. It is just a simple domain blacklisting status system. What problems is Everest solving and how is that benefiting you? None of the problem have been solving through this Everest. It just a inbox placement display system only. Easily noticed on domain blacklisted only. Other than this are nothing.

It's been really difficult to switch over to Everest from Return Path due to seedlist testing issues
What do you like best about Everest? I like the accessibility to create dashboards and share across the org. What do you dislike about Everest? The only downside was that it was extremely difficult to switch over to everest from return path due to seedlisting issues mainly from our ESP, Braze What problems is Everest solving and how is that benefiting you? Mainly using everest for deliverability measurement. havent had the chance to use it for more since we've been spending a lot of time switching platforms.

So far not so good
What do you like best about Everest? We've been working on setting up since mid-August, but due to issues on the platform side, have been unable to fully set up. That said, our account manager has been responsive and diligently working on getting the issues resolved, so I would say that the user support is the best part. What do you dislike about Everest? We're on our third month trying to get set up due to platform issues, which I think is not great considering the price. Return Path set up went much smoother, and we were able to get started right away without a hitch. Recommendations to others considering Everest: Prepare for a longer-than-estimated setup process. What problems is Everest solving and how is that benefiting you? Monitoring email deliverability is of utmost importance to our business. Being able to see when things take a turn for the worse and being able to react quickly helps us keep our email reputation positive and keeps our emails in user's inboxes!
