Agari Brand Protection is renowned for its comprehensive email security suite, extending far beyond basic DMARC. It integrates DMARC reporting deeply into a broader platform focused on threat detection and extensive brand protection. This design caters to organizations with complex email environments.
We've experienced that its strength lies in its ability to correlate DMARC data with other threat intelligence sources. This provides a more holistic view of email risk, allowing for sophisticated analytics to identify both known and emerging threats. It's a robust solution for proactive security posture management.
DMARC Monitor primarily focuses on core DMARC reporting and foundational email authentication monitoring, including SPF and DKIM. It serves as a more direct tool for organizations aiming to implement and effectively manage their DMARC policy without the extensive feature set of a full-scale email security platform.
Our hands-on use confirms that it delivers clear, digestible reports. This makes it significantly easier for users to grasp their DMARC compliance status and efficiently troubleshoot any issues tied to legitimate sending sources that might be failing authentication.
How easy is each product to use
User experience
The Agari Brand Protection interface is undeniably powerful, yet we've found it can be quite daunting for new users or those whose primary interest is solely DMARC. It's clearly designed for seasoned security professionals who are comfortable navigating complex dashboards and drilling down into intricate data.
Effective navigation typically requires a solid understanding of advanced email security concepts. While its robustness is a significant advantage, the learning curve is steeper, accurately reflecting its enterprise-focused capabilities and the depth of its security insights.
DMARC Monitor presents a more intuitive and streamlined interface. It's built for users who seek rapid insights into their DMARC performance without the need for extensive training. The dashboards are generally clean and articulate authentication data in an easy-to-understand format.
For those new to DMARC or organizations with more straightforward requirements, our experience indicates that this platform offers a much smoother onboarding and operational experience. It prioritizes clarity and direct access to essential DMARC information.
Which product has the best support
Support
Agari Brand Protection typically offers enterprise-level support. This often means access to dedicated account managers and potentially faster response times for critical security incidents. However, we've occasionally noted that support can be a little slow for less urgent inquiries.
Their comprehensive documentation is a valuable resource, though it tends to be quite technical. It presumes a certain level of user expertise, which aligns with its enterprise target audience of security professionals.
DMARC Monitor provides standard customer support channels, which are generally responsive. Given its more focused feature set, issues users encounter are often simpler to diagnose and resolve, contributing to an efficient support interaction.
Their support aims to guide users effectively through common DMARC implementation challenges and general platform usage. We've found the assistance to be practical and geared towards helping users quickly manage their DMARC records and reporting.
Who should use each product
Suitability
Agari Brand Protection is highly suitable for large enterprises with intricate email ecosystems and significant brand protection requirements. Its advanced capabilities in threat intelligence, incident response, and broad security integration make it an ideal choice for organizations confronting sophisticated phishing and spoofing attacks. For such environments, the comprehensive security posture it enables is invaluable.
For Managed Service Providers (MSPs), it's generally less directly suited for those managing numerous smaller clients due to its enterprise-grade pricing and inherent complexity. However, it can be a strong consideration for MSPs serving very large clients who demand dedicated and advanced email security needs. For Small to Medium Businesses (SMBs), it often proves to be an overkill due to its extensive feature set and the associated cost structure, which might exceed their operational requirements and budgets.
DMARC Monitor can be an excellent fit for enterprises primarily focused on robust DMARC enforcement and detailed reporting, especially if they already have other email security solutions in place that cover broader threat landscapes. It stands out as a strong choice for organizations that need clear, actionable DMARC visibility without requiring an all-encompassing brand protection and advanced threat intelligence suite.
For Managed Service Providers (MSPs), DMARC Monitor is particularly well-suited. Its user-friendly interface and concentrated focus on DMARC make it manageable and efficient for administering multiple client domains, including those of SMBs. For Small to Medium Businesses (SMBs), it represents an excellent choice due to its straightforward approach to DMARC, ease of use, and generally more accessible pricing tiers, allowing them to rapidly achieve DMARC compliance and gain essential insights into their email authentication.

Drawbacks and what to watch out for
We've observed that Agari Brand Protection, while powerful, can present a steep learning curve due to its extensive feature set, particularly for those not deeply entrenched in email security operations. The pricing structure is typically geared towards large enterprises, potentially making it less accessible for smaller organizations. The single G2 review also hints at support being "a little slow" at times, which can be frustrating. DMARC Monitor, based on our assessment, offers a more focused DMARC solution. Its primary drawback might be its less comprehensive suite of advanced email security features compared to broader platforms. While it excels at DMARC, organizations seeking a full brand protection and threat intelligence platform might find it lacking in depth beyond authentication. The absence of G2 reviews also means less public peer feedback is available.
We have pulled the average ratings from G2 for each product, and also included the most recent negative reviews for each product in full. Positive reviews tend to have less detail and have a higher chance of being fraudulent, so negative reviews are a better signal for your decision.

What do you like best about Fortra DMARC Protection?
I am a new user of cloud email protection and I am extremely fond of the added security layer it offers to the users of office 365. Most amazing feature is the added notification whenever a suspicious mail is there. I have observed that the other folder segregation doesn't always work in the office 365 but here it works like magic.
What do you dislike about Fortra DMARC Protection?
The policies are a bit off to curate for an individual from a non tech background. And the support provided by the team are a little slow. Rest everything is up to the mark and I'll still continue to use it further.
What problems is Fortra DMARC Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is enabling an added security layer to the emails with confidential content to make it a little better and secure for all the individuals within an organization.
G2 is the most popular review platform for DMARC products, so this is a strong signal that this product is not popular.
